The project foresees the following milestones:
Milestones and Measures of Success:
Project inception completed. All management mechanisms are in place, including quality control, risk management, internal communications and reporting.
Requirement analysis and System Specification Completed. All information needed to start implementation work has been collected: implementation work can start.
Business modelling defined. Market survey completed. Initial internal IPR agreement reached. Business model defined. Full exploitation activities can start.
Major platform component have been implemented. The integration of an initial version of METABO Platform can be started.
METABO Platform completed. All METABO Platform components and functions are completed: full integration can start. Pilot Experience can start on a reduced version of the Platform.
Platform integration completed. Implemented closed-loop between patient, health professional and hospit. Pilot Experience can continue on the full METABO Platform
Project Completed. METABO Platform fully validated. Socioeconomic, organizational and ethical guidelines available. Launch of the METABO paradigma can start.
The success will be measured by comparing the results of METABO against current clinical practice and objective efficacy of monitoring and care processes (reduction of hypoglycemic episodes, stabilization of blood glucose levels, and increased patient’s com pliance to therapy)
